Our Mission

This website was created by Jillian Hurt in collaboration with the Women Empowerment club at El Capitan High School. It was made as part of a Capstone project focusing on young women and ways to promote self-confidence within them.

To achieve this goal, we have created a way for young women to anonymously make submissions which allows them to share any personal experiences they may have that they have been too scared to say out loud. Teenagers, especially young women, face many challenges through their high school years and are overwhelmed by peer-pressure, unnatural beauty standards, and the need for validation from their peers or from their partners. The life of a young woman is  hard, and we are shamed if we present ourselves as less than perfect or admit to our faults in judgement. So, this website was made to give young women that first step of confidence by being able to share their stories and be able to relate to other women in similar situations.
